AREVALO Authenticated

The house

Who we are, how we prove a piece is real, and how to reach us. A person reads every message and answers within one business day.

Who we are

We are sixteen, and one fake shirt is why we do it this way

Pieces move through here every day — jewelry, apparel, eyewear and leather, picked up and turned over at a pace most people do not expect from two sixteen-year-olds. That volume is not the flex. It is the reason we are strict.

The first thing we ever sold was a single Enfants Riches Déprimés shirt. We had bought it as real. We listed it as real. It was not — the print sat wrong, the collar tape was off, and at the time we did not know enough to catch either. We refunded it out of our own pockets and we have never forgotten how that felt on both ends of it.

So we went and learned the trade properly. Years of it: reference libraries of real pieces bought purely to compare against, hallmarks read under magnification, stitch density, label weaves, hardware finishes, the weight of a thing in the hand. We did not become resellers who guess. We became authenticators who sell.

Nothing leaves here on our word alone. Every piece clears ten or more independent opinions before it is listed — our own two blind passes, the dealers and collectors we grew up learning from, and paid outside authenticators when a piece is worth the certainty. One credible doubt and it goes back to the seller. Nobody buying from us should get what we once handed someone else.

That is what makes us legit, and it is checkable: every piece ships with a signed card carrying its SKU, its findings and its dates, and you are welcome to run anything you buy from us past your own authenticator. We are counting on you to. If we cannot prove it, we do not sell it.

Co-founder — Buying & sourcing

Handles what comes in: the collectors, the estates, the dealers we have worked with for years. Says no far more often than yes, which is why the shelf is small and the shelf is good.

“The best pieces never hit the open market. They move between people who trust each other.”

Co-founder — Authentication

Runs the checks and keeps the reference library — real pieces, bought and kept purely to compare against. Signs the second line on every authentication card that leaves here.

“I would rather lose the sale than sign my name to something I am not certain about.”

How we prove it

Four gates. Every piece.

A piece has to clear all four before it is listed, and the last gate alone takes ten or more independent opinions. Failing any one means it goes back to the seller — we do not list “probably”.

  1. Provenance intakeWhere it came from, who owned it, what paperwork exists — photographed and filed against a SKU that stays with the piece for life.
  2. Hallmark & hardwareStamps read at 10× magnification against reference pieces of the same era. Font, depth and placement all matter. Weight and dimensions to the gram and millimetre — counterfeits almost always miss on mass.
  3. Materials & constructionAcid or XRF testing on silver where the piece allows it. On apparel and leather: stitch density, lining, label weave, hardware finish and how the seams were closed.
  4. Ten opinions, minimumThe other founder repeats the whole check blind — two passes, two signatures. Then the piece goes out to our wider circle: dealers, collectors and paid outside authenticators, until at least ten independent reads are in. One credible dissent rejects it — no exceptions.

Your card carries the SKU, the date of each check, both signatures, the material findings and the condition grade. Keep it with the piece — it is what makes reselling straightforward later, and returns require it intact.

Client care

Shipping

Complimentary insured shipping on orders over $500; a flat $25 otherwise, anywhere we ship. Orders leave within one business day, fully tracked and signature-required. International duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and paid at the point of sale, so nothing is collected on your doorstep.

Returns

Fourteen days from delivery. The piece has to come back unworn with its authentication card intact and attached — the card is what makes the piece resaleable, so a missing card means we cannot accept the return. Refunds land within three business days of the piece clearing our inspection.

Sizing & resizing

Ring sizes are US. If you are between sizes on a wide band, go up — wide bands wear tighter than thin ones. Free resizing within your 14-day window on any solid silver band we sell; after that it is charged at cost. Chains, cuffs and pieces with stone settings cannot always be altered, and we will tell you before you buy if that applies.

Condition, honestly graded

Pre-owned silver develops a patina and picks up marks. That is not damage — it is the piece having been worn, which is what it was made for. We grade plainly:

Anything below that we do not list. If a piece has been repaired, resized or restored, it is stated in the listing and on the authentication card — every time.

Frequently asked

Is everything genuine?

Every piece clears two independent authentication passes before it is listed, and ships with a signed card recording both. If a piece you buy from us is ever shown not to be authentic, we refund it in full, indefinitely, no time limit.

Do you sell new pieces?

Some — where a piece has come to us unworn with its original packaging, it is graded “new with tags”. Most of what we carry is pre-owned, which is why it exists at all: the pieces worth hunting for are not in production any more.

Can you find something not listed?

Usually. Our buyers work a network of collectors and dealers across three continents. Send the request with a budget ceiling — most are filled inside a month, and we do not charge a finder’s fee.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, everywhere our insurer covers, which is most places. Some countries restrict precious metal imports; we will flag it before charging you if yours is one of them.

How do I pay?

All major cards, and instalment plans on orders above $1,000. High-value pieces can be paid by bank transfer — ask and we will send details. We never take payment over social media, and we will never message you asking for a transfer. If someone does, it is not us.
